Xihu Longjing Tea Tasting (Hey China)
The Xihu Longjing from Hey China Tea is a fresh and green tea that was not as sweet and nutty as other Longjing. It felt like spring on the tip of my tongue.

The Bei Dou Yi Hao from Teasenz was a lightly roasted yancha with a fruity twist. There was also a hint of caramelised sugar in some infusions.
The Da Hong Pao from Teasenz is a nice tea with an insanely sweet and intense aftertaste. From a prominent candy sweetness to more floral and buttery flavours.
The Huang Mei Gui from Teasenz is a floral yancha with a prominent butteriness. The aftertaste was sweet, buttery and long-lasting.
Rou Gui is a famous Wuyi Yancha and this one shows why. Prominent sweetness with cinnamon notes that flow through the infusion into the aftertaste.
The Wu Di Hong Cha from Essence of Tea is one of a kind. A hong cha from Wuyishan that was produced very similar to yancha with a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
The 2020 ZSL Mahei from Tea Encounter is a fresh young puerh from spring 2020. It has some traces of Mahei sweetness but there is also something fresh going on.
The early infusions of the Fenqing Yesheng Hong Cha from Tee Kontor Kiel had an intense and exotic sweetness. Towards the end, the aftertaste became sweeter.
Tee Kontor Kiel’s Yiwu Gushu Sheng 2008 is a true gem. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and fruit with a long-lasting aftertaste.
The 2018 Mahei Owl is my favourite sheng puerh. It offers a combination of sweet honey, golden raisins and some citrus and tannic notes. It’s just right!
