The 2001 XY Yiwu Gushu Shu Puerh from Lao Tea Shop is a sweet shou puerh with strong camphor notes in the finish and long-lasting aftertaste.
The 2019 Ripe Puerh Royal from Biochi is an interesting shou puerh. It’s only a year old, but it doesn’t bite your face off and it’s gentle and sweet.
The 2004 Shi Kun Mu Yibang Gushu from Lao Tea Shop was good but subtle. I got a combination of dark honey and sour apples.
The Wu Di Hong Cha from Essence of Tea is one of a kind. A hong cha from Wuyishan that was produced very similar to yancha with a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
The 2007 Suiyuan Guangxi Liu Bao 0506 from Lao Tea Shop is all about body experience and sitting in front of a fire under a blanket. Really warming tea.
The 2020 ZSL Mahei from Tea Encounter is a fresh young puerh from spring 2020. It has some traces of Mahei sweetness but there is also something fresh going on.
The 2007 Changtai Cha Hu Chen Nannuo Raw Puerh from Lao Tea Shop is fruity and sweet after the initial bitterness. Traces of apples and a very strong energy.
The 2018 TdC Ailao Shan Sheng Puerh from Terre de Ciel is a tea that made me feel as if I was walking on a cloud. Subtle, sweet and fruity.
The 2005 Zhong Cha Duoteli Grade 3 Liu Bao is a tea that goes the distance and is there when you need it. Solid tea with a betel nut flavour profile.
Tea Joint’s Si Fang Aunt Ming Shu Puerh is a fun tea to discover. It starts out with some edgy notes but becomes really comforting towards the end.
The 2002 CNNP Dai Language 7542 sheng puerh from puerhprivate is a good example of (semi-) aged sheng. It had a camphor flavour profile with a creamy touch.
The Late 90s Wuzhou Three Cranes Big Leaves Liu Bao is an impressive tea full of camphor. Very warming tea that is perfect for a rainy Autumn day.
The early infusions of the Fenqing Yesheng Hong Cha from Tee Kontor Kiel had an intense and exotic sweetness. Towards the end, the aftertaste became sweeter.
