The 2020 Yiwu Yao Zhu Di from Essence of Tea is a young sheng with a fruity flavour profile. It’s fruity and sweet with a long-lasting and intense aftertaste.
The 2007 Yiwu Jing Long from ANMO is a comforting and cosy tea. It feels like a blanket over your shoulders next to the fireplace on a rainy day.
The 1999 Second Millennium Sun Withered Raw Puerh from Yee On Tea had strong camphor notes from the middle onwards. Good mouthfeel and creamy texture.
The 1990 Hong Kong Sheng from Vin-Satori is the best aged sheng puerh I have ever tasted. Intense camphor with a creamy finish in some infusions.
The 2020 Spring Hua Ji Dan Cong from EoT is a floral dan cong oolong with strong notes of orchids. Towards the end, I also got some fresher notes.
The 2014 Fengqing Ancient Trees from Vin-Satori was fruity and sweet and felt like summer is already here. Sweet and exotic fruits with a touch of leather.
The 2020 Yunnan Lincang Maocha from Lao Tea Shop was a nice change from my usual puerh drinking habits. It was fruity and refreshing with a fruity aftertaste.
The 2001 Wuzhou Liu Bao 9102 from Yee On tea is the perfect every day Liu Bao. It starts out with notes of betel nut and changes into sweet camphor.
The 2007 Lan Ting Chun Yo Ji Cha from Vin-Satori is another winner! An organic sheng puerh with notes of honey, prunes, apricots and a spiciness towards the end.
The Bei Dou Yi Hao from Teasenz was a lightly roasted yancha with a fruity twist. There was also a hint of caramelised sugar in some infusions.
The 1998 Bao Yan Jin Cha Xiaguan from Tee Kontor Kiel is a sheng puerh with exceptionally clean storage. Notes of camphor and spices with a sweet finish.
The 2009 Hou You 9026 sheng puerh from Vin-Satori is such a clean and refreshing tea. I got notes of oranges in combination with other citrus fruits.
The 2007 Aged Aroma Puerh from Yee on Tea is a mix of sheng and shou puerh. Good body sensation with delicious notes of damp earth and camphor towards the end.
