The 2010 King of Pu-erh from Hey China is an Yiwu sheng puerh from 2010. It’s mainly about a mellow and fruity sweetness in combination with a smokiness.
The 2018 Pasha Gushu from Teamania is a delicious young sheng puerh. It was almost as if I was drinking champagne. Sweet and fruity with a sour twist.
The 2007 Mengku Raw Puerh from Yee On Tea is a balanced puerh with an impressive aftertaste. Strawberry tobacco with sweet summer fruits in the aftertaste.
The 2019 Berlin Flows Ailao Gushu from Xian Tea is really sweet with dominant notes of red summer fruits. This went on long into the aftertaste.
The 2008 Simplified Word sheng is really fruity with pleasant notes of incense at the start. This slowly evolves into dark berries towards the end.
The 2014 Wang Bing Zi Juan Purple sheng puerh from Vin-Satori was really fruity in the early infusions with an impressive aftertaste.
The 2013 Ban Zhang Old Arbor from Yee On Tea is a tea with an intense smokiness. The early infusions were dominated by this, while the later ones were fruitier.
The 2018 Sunsing Shangri-La from ANMO is a really complex tea. It went from an aged flavour profile to sweet and fruity in the same infusion.
The 2020 Yiwu San Jia Zhai from Essence of Tea is fruity and sweet with a focus towards the back of my throat and a long-lasting aftertaste.
The 2020 Yiwu Yao Zhu Di from Essence of Tea is a young sheng with a fruity flavour profile. It’s fruity and sweet with a long-lasting and intense aftertaste.
The 2007 Yiwu Jing Long from ANMO is a comforting and cosy tea. It feels like a blanket over your shoulders next to the fireplace on a rainy day.
The 1999 Second Millennium Sun Withered Raw Puerh from Yee On Tea had strong camphor notes from the middle onwards. Good mouthfeel and creamy texture.
The 1990 Hong Kong Sheng from Vin-Satori is the best aged sheng puerh I have ever tasted. Intense camphor with a creamy finish in some infusions.
The 2014 Fengqing Ancient Trees from Vin-Satori was fruity and sweet and felt like summer is already here. Sweet and exotic fruits with a touch of leather.
The 2020 Yunnan Lincang Maocha from Lao Tea Shop was a nice change from my usual puerh drinking habits. It was fruity and refreshing with a fruity aftertaste.
